1.Who we are

Brand Builders Playbook is a Shopify design agency based in Denmark, run by Marc Prehn-Mehlsen ("we", "us", "our"). The website is brandbuildersplaybook.com.

2.What these terms cover

These terms apply when you visit brandbuildersplaybook.com or buy any of our services. By completing a purchase you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't buy.

How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

3.Our services

Done For You Shopify Store

A service where we design and build a Shopify store for you. What's included is described on the website at the time of purchase, and in section 8 below.

Other services and custom projects

We also offer store development, Meta Ads, Google Ads, digital strategy, organic social media strategy and conversion optimisation. For these, the scope, price and timeline are agreed with you in writing (for example by email) before we start. If that written agreement differs from these terms, the written agreement applies.

We describe our services as accurately as we can. Screenshots and example stores show our previous work. Your own store will look different depending on your products, images, branding and content.

4.Ordering and who can buy

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to buy from us. The information you give at checkout must be accurate and complete.

Your order is confirmed when payment has gone through and you receive a confirmation. We may refuse or cancel an order if we suspect fraud, if there is an obvious error in the price or description, or if we can't deliver what was ordered. If we cancel a paid order, we'll refund you in full.

5.Prices and payment

Prices are shown on the website and at checkout, in US dollars unless stated otherwise. VAT or other taxes may be added depending on where you live, and the final amount is always shown before you pay.

The price shown for the Done For You Shopify Store is a starting price for the scope described. If you need custom features or work beyond that scope, we'll give you a separate quote first, and you only pay for extra work you agree to.

Discounts are only valid for the period shown. When a discount ends, the regular price applies to new orders. It doesn't change the price of orders already placed.

Payments are processed securely by a third-party payment provider (currently PayPal). We never see or store your full card details. Services are paid as a one-time payment unless clearly stated otherwise.

6.Getting started

Done For You Shopify Store: after payment you'll be sent to a short questionnaire. We then contact you to agree on the timeline and what we need from you, such as logo, product information and images.

Custom projects: we start once the scope and price are agreed and any agreed payment has been made.

7.Right of withdrawal and refunds

If you buy as a consumer, you have 14 days from the day of purchase to cancel a service. If you ask us to start work within those 14 days and then cancel, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the work already done. Once the service has been fully completed at your request, the right to cancel no longer applies.

If you buy as a business, cancellation and refunds follow what we have agreed with you in writing.

To cancel, email us at support@brandbuildersplaybook.com with your name and order details. Refunds are paid back to the original payment method within 14 days.

8.Done For You Shopify Store

Unless something else is agreed in writing, the service includes the items listed on the website at the time of purchase. Currently these are custom Shopify store development, design of all standard pages, mobile-first responsive design, adding up to 50 products, Shopify maintenance and optimisation, 3 rounds of revisions and 3 months of support from Marc.

• Your input: timelines depend on you sending the content we ask for, such as your logo, product information, images and feedback. Delays in getting content will delay delivery.
• Revisions: 3 rounds of revisions are included. Extra revisions or work beyond the agreed scope can be quoted separately.
• Support: the 3 months of support start when the store is handed over. Support covers help and fixes related to the store we built. It doesn't cover new features, redesigns or third-party apps.
• Ownership: once paid in full, the store belongs to you. Your products, images and brand remain yours at all times.

9.Your responsibilities

• You need your own Shopify account and plan. Shopify, apps, domains and other third-party costs are paid by you directly to those providers and are not part of our prices.
• For advertising services, your ad budget is paid by you directly to the ad platform (for example Meta or Google) and is not part of our fee.
• You are responsible for the products you sell and the content you put on your store, including texts, images, prices, shipping, returns and legal pages, and for making sure your store and ads follow the laws that apply to your business.
• You are responsible for keeping your logins secure. When the project ends, you may remove our access to your accounts at any time.

10.Results

We don't promise any specific sales, income, ad performance or business results. Results shown by us or our clients are examples, not a guarantee of what you'll achieve.

11.Shopify and other third parties

We build on Shopify, which is a separate company. We are not affiliated with Shopify, and their own terms and prices apply. Shopify, ad platforms and app providers may change their features or prices at any time, and we can't guarantee compatibility with every future change or with third-party apps.

We also use third-party services to run our business, for example PayPal for payments and Kit for email. These services have their own terms.

12.Intellectual property

Our website, texts, graphics, logos and examples of our work are owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy or reuse our content or branding without our written permission.

The store we build for you becomes yours once it's paid in full, as described in section 8. We may show the finished store in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

13.Liability

We provide our services with care, but we can't guarantee they will be error-free or meet every specific need. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost sales, lost profits or lost data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

14.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top shows the latest version. The terms that apply to your purchase are the ones in place when you bought.

15.Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you still keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your own country.

If you're unhappy with something, please contact us first and we'll do our best to solve it. If we can't agree, consumers can complain to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board via Nævnenes Hus, or bring the matter before the courts.
